Welcome to Mr. Ed's Strength and Conditioning

Welcome to Mr. Ed's Strength and Conditioning website. Former College football standout and NFL player Ed Meacham started Mr. Ed’s Strength and Conditioning in the summer of 1999. Ed started the camp for the purpose of helping area High School athletes maximize their potential while having a great time! Each summer Ed brings together a select staff made up of area High School athletes. The program has 11 members on staff for each session. This approach has helped the younger staff kids on staff, grow into tomorrow’s leaders.

Mr. Ed’s Strength and Conditioning Camp began in the summer of 1999. The program was formed by a couple of High School football players, Jerry and Patrick Hagan of Sherman High. The first camp began with 17 High School football players and 4 cheerleaders. The results were so positive that many parents started calling to ask if this was a yearly summer program. The second summer was much more impressive as we had nearly 70 athletes in the program. The camp was filled with many types of athletes, ranging from football, baseball, track and field, cheerleaders, soccer players to Band members. Each summer the program has two(2) four week sessions. This allows area kids the opportunity to participate in one or both sessions.

2007 Camp Attendee Super Bowl Champion Charlie Johnson

In 2007, we were honored to have Super Bowl Champion Charlie Johnson attend our camp. Charlie, who also attended the 2002 and 2005 camps, was born in Sherman, Texas and attended Sherman High School where he was All-District as tight end his senior year. After High School, Charlie became a standout at Oklahoma State and was selected by the Indianapolis Colts in the 2006 NFL draft. Charlie played right tackle for the Colts in 2006 where he helped the team win Super Bowl XLI.
